Albert W. Kirk, 88, of Palisade, died Wednesday (Feb. 18, 2004) at Dundy County Hospital in Benkelman.
He was born Nov. 29, 1915, to Clifford Franklin and Aurelia Kirk in Dayton, Ohio.
He was a veteran of World War II.
He married Dolores V. Coon. He was employed by General Motors, in the Delco Division, as a chrome plater for 33 years until his retirement. He had been living in the Palisade community for the past eight years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dolores; a daughter, Arlene; and five brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, David Kirk and wife, Mary of Xenia, Ohio, Linda Whaley of Tampa, Fla., and Lloyd Kirk and wife, Marsha of Palisade; brother, Jerry Kirk and wife, Bessie of Dayton, Ohio; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with the Rev. Phillip Kline officiating. Interment took place in Bauersville, Ohio.
Memorials were to be given in his name.
