Andrea L. Sawyer

Andrea L. Sawyer died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at McCook Community Hospital. She was 45.

Andrea was born April 18, 1961 to Earl D. and Letha M. (Stephens) Svoboda at Seward, Nebraska. She attended grade school in Norton and McCook Public Schools and graduated from McCook High School in 1979. She attended college to become a Para-legal.

She married Rodney Sawyer in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 21, 1990. To this union two children were born. Her children were her life! Enjoyed all sports and was #1 fan of Sawyer Racing, reading her Bible and Daily Bread Devotionals.

She was a charter member of McCook Evangelical Free Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father-in-law, Lorence and Dorothy Sawyer and brother-in-law, Gary Sawyer.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney; daughters, Shelby Desiré©e and Chantel Alexis Sawyer of McCook, step-children, Jason Brett and Jessica Nicole Sawyer of Omaha; parents, Earl and Letha Svoboda; brother, Darrell Svoboda and wife, Brenda; sisters, Angela McCarty and husband, Dave, Anissa Curl and husband, Kurke; brother-in-law, Don Sawyer and wife, Shirley all of McCook; several nieces and nephews, Tyler McCarty and wife, Carrie, Jenni Maynard and husband, Evan, Dani Hancock and husband, Ben, Jordan Svoboda, Chelsea Svoboda, Zac Curl, Nic Curl, Dan Sawyer and wife, Mary, Brian Sawyer and wife, Jennifer, and Carmen Bond and husband, Joe.

Memorials may be given for her daughters' education.

Funeral services will be Saturday, November 4, 2006, 11 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church with Pastor Bruce Lester, Pastor Chris Atkins, and Pastor Eddie Wright officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.
