Ardis Faye Brown went to be with her Lord on Monday February 8, 2010 at the Cambridge Hospital. She was 73 years 8 months and 5 days old.
She was born in Furnas County, Nebr. on June 3, 1936 to Albert Francis and Madeline Jean (Dolph) Gutzman. She attended Sunny Hillside Rural School and Cambridge High School.
She married Robert R. Brown in Cambridge on December 26, 1955.
Ardis was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Indianola and the United Methodist Women. She especially loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed ceramics, word searches and puzzles, table games, shuffleboard, fishing, reading, and writing poetry.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Robert on March 8, 2001; a son, John E. Brown; three sisters, Phyllis Jean and Mary Ellen Gutzman and Marjoria Ann Davis.
Survivors include: sons, Scott Walker and Robert, Jr. (Deanna) Brown, all of Indianola; two daughters, Wanda (Dick) Parman of Benkelman and Pam and Fiance, Jr. Farr of Indianola; a brother Francis (Marjoria) Gutzman of Indianola; three half sisters, Jean (Dave) Wallace of Florida, Kay (Rob) Bellamy of Omaha, and Shevawn (Rocky) Willis of Culbertson; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials were accepted in her name.
Memorial services were Friday, February 12th at 10 a.m. at the Indianola United Methodist Church with Rev. Sherry J. Sklenar officiating. Inurnment took place in Indianola Cedar Grove Cemetery.
