Arthur R. Bush

Arthur R. Bush, of Palisade, died Thursday, June 08, 2006 at Chase County Hospital in Imperial. He was 85 years old.
He was born November 29, 1920 to Oral and Laura (Witzke) Bush at Council, Idaho. He graduated from Hamlet High School.
He married Frieda A. Sommerfeld on August 30, 1946 at Hastings. To this union, three daughters were born, Laurel, Lona, and Barbara.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Palisade and the VFW #7028 and the American Legion #318.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Laura; wife, Frieda; and sister, Pauline Bodeman.
Survivors include his daughters, Laurel Bush from Helsinki, Finland, Lona Farrell and husband Robert of Gray, Maine, and Barbara Cooksley and husband George of Anselmo; brother, Richard Bush and wife Louise of Kennewick, WA; brothers-in-law, Arlie Bodeman of Portland, Oregon and Paul Sommerfeld and wife Leone of Hastings; and two grandchildren
Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran Church or VFW #7028 or the American Legion Post #318.
Funeral services were Monday, June 12, 2006 at the Palisade Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Burial took place at Meadow Lawn Cemetery in Hamlet with a military honor guard.
