Bernice Kircher

Bernice A. Kircher died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Community Hospital in McCook. She was 86 years old.
Bernice was born in Giltner, Nebraska on September 19, 1921, to Oscar and Anna (Kindvall) Oberg. She attended McCook Schools.
She married Lyle Graves and they had a son, Russell. They were divorced March 27, 1974. She later married Gere Kircher on April 18. 1975.
Bernice was a homemaker. She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Oscar and Anna Oberg; son, Russell Graves, January 13, 1980; her husbands, Lyle Graves and Gere Kircher; three sisters, Elizabeth Kircher, Margaret Brown and Goldie Amanet; and two brothers, Carl Oberg and Gust Oberg; nephew Eddie Oberg and niece, Charlene Doherty; step son, Gary Kircher.
Survivors include: step-daughter, Doris Roberts; step-daughter-in-law, Karen Hodson; two granddaughters, Jennifer and Kathy; nieces and nephews, Elenor Walters, Jim Kircher, Jane Palmer, Marilyn Malleck, Norris Brown, Harry Brown, John Brown, Carlana Morphis, Vernon Oberg, Don Oberg, Diane Geddes, and Bobbie Amanet; great grandchildren, great grandnieces and nephews as well as great-great-grand nieces and nephews.
Memorials were to be given in her name.
Funeral services were Wednesday, January 30, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
