Betty Ann Raker

Betty Ann Raker, age 67 of Hayes Center, NE passed away Friday, January 31, 2020 at her home in Hayes Center.

Betty was born January 16, 1953 in McCook, NE to parents Dean Thomas and Shirley Ann (Beebe) Hansen.  She was one of five children who graduated who Hayes Center High School in 1972.

On February 3, 1993, Betty married Earl Raker in Grand Island, NE.  The family made their home in Hayes Center where Betty worked as a caretaker who spent time playing pool and was an APA Pool Member. She enjoyed crocheting, coloring, collecting salt and pepper shakers and spending time with family and friends.  Betty attended the Hayes Center Community Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Tom.

Those left to celebrate her life include her husband, Earl Raker of Hayes Center; sons, Earl (Sandy Chism) Mauser of Hayes Center and Edward (Crystal) Livingston of McCook; daughter, Pearl VanCura of Hayes Center; stepsons, Earl E Delancey, Jr. of Montana, Anthony Delancey of Columbus, NE and Joe Delancey of Emporia, KS; son in law, Dan VanCura of McCook; brother, Jerry (Susan) Hansen or Marysville, KY; sisters, Mary (Derek) Jensen of Reinbeck, IA and Nancy (Harvey) Raker of Hayes Center; sister in law, Virginia Hansen of CA; eight grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; and one great grandchild with one of the way.
