Bonnie Jean (Beachler) Weskamp passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on November 13, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin, Kansas.
Bonnie was born on February 8, 1927 in McCook, Nebraska to Albert and June (Lockwood) Beachler. She spent her childhood in McCook and Hastings, Nebraska and Sterling, Colorado.
She spent her early working years at AT&T as a telephone operator and Burlington Northern railroad as a courier. Later in her life she worked at TRW, St. Catherine's Hospital, and finally retiring from Dayco.
She enjoyed her children and grandchildren, reading, gardening, drawing, and in her later years dancing.
She married Leo F. Weskamp on January 9th, 1954. From this union four children were born; Jennifer, LeAudrey, Judy and William. They raised their children in McCook.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and June Beachler; brothers, Jerry and Jimmie Beachler; sister, Betty Spencer; husband, Leo Weskamp; daughter, LeAudrey Sue Black and son-in-law, Terry Black.
She is survived by her children, Jennifer and Dee Fortkamp of Palisade and Lincoln, Judy and Les Fellows of Los Animas, CO, William (Bill) Weskamp and Jane Francese of Grand Junction, CO; grandchildren, Brenna Fortkamp-Evensen and husband, Dan of Lincoln, Jolie Ricenbaw and husband, Ryan of Lincoln, Aaron Black and wife, Shelley of Lawrence, KS, Teresa Macke and husband, Jared of LaGrange, WY, Kyle Black and wife, Leslie of Pratt, KS, Ben Wasinger and wife, Crystal of Vernal, UT, Matthew Wasinger of Portland, OR, Caleb Wasinger of Manhattan, KS, Samuel Wasinger of Beloit, KS, Sarah Hellmandoller and husband, Ryan of Pocatello, ID, Katie Kissel and husband, Ty of Vernal, UT, Rusty Moon and husband, Blake of Vernal, UT, Quinn Cook of Hawaii, Ryan Cook of Italy; great-grandchildren, Takayla and Tanner Moon, Haylie Black, Harper and Landry Ricenbaw, Noah and Joseph Black, Isaac, Mason and Lauren Macke, and Andie and Winter Wasinger, Maria, Josh, Sierra and Mya Cook, William (Liam) Kissel, and Mason Hellmandollar.
A special Thank You from the family to the staff of the Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin, Kansas, who have been Bonnie's second family since 2000.
She is remembered by her family and friends as a kind, honorable, fun loving lady with a quirky sense of humor who loved her family and life.
Memorials are suggested to the Good Samaritan Center in Oberlin, Kansas.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 16, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Stuckwisch officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
