Bradley Buck Masters, 85, died Monday, October 4, 2004 at Hillcrest Nursing Home.
Bradley was born on December 30, 1918, at McCook to Merle E. and Ruth D. (Daughtery) Masters. He graduated from Red Willow High School in 1936.
On December 18, 1941, he entered the US Air Force and served during World War II. He was honorably discharged on November 27, 1945. He returned to the McCook community where he farmed all of his life.
On December 10, 1954, he married Darlene Mackey. To this union four daughters were born. She preceded him in death on October 8, 1984.
Bradley was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church, American Legion and McCook Elks Lodge.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Merle and Ruth Masters; his wife, Darlene; and one sister, Margie Leath.
Survivors include his four daughters, Marilyn Masters of Lincoln, Marsha and husband, Lyle Pohlmeier, of Lawrence, Caroline and husband, Jerry Goebel of Hastings, and Mary and husband, Larry Arnold, of Lincoln; one sister, Carol Borgman of McCook; and step-son, Gary Mackey and wife, Vicki, of Fort Collins, CO; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 7, 2004, 10 a.m. at the Memorial United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials were to be given in his name to Memorial United Methodist Church.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
