Brian J. Eyl, age 61, of Trenton, NE passed away Monday, September 21, 2020 at Wauneta Care and Therapy Center in Wauneta, NE.
Brian was born September 27, 1958 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to parents Clyde “Ed” and Valda Eyl. Brian graduated from Douglas County High School with the Class of 1976. A few days following his graduation, Brian enlisted in the United States Marines where he proudly served his country until his honorable discharge.
On October 13, 1988, Brian married the love of his life, Tami Marie (Lashley) Eyl in Colorado Springs. The couple made their home in Colorado Springs and were blessed with three daughters. In 1998 the family moved to Trenton, NE where Brian began farming south of the Trenton Dam. Brian loved to farm and was a proud husband and father to his girls. He enjoyed playing pool and restoring motorcycles, especially his 1946 Flathead Harley. One of Brian’s biggest accomplishments was his sobriety. He had been sober for the last eleven years of his life. Brian was a member of the Church of God in Trenton where he served as the treasurer.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Kaley and Kelsey Eyl; and father in law, Bill Lashley.
Those left to celebrate Brian’s life include his wife; Tami Eyl of Trenton; daughter, Kwencey (Casey) House of Oberlin, KS; siblings, Craig (Teri) Eyl of Aurora, CO, Bradley (Tisha) Eyl of Ozark, AL, Curtis (Lisa) Eyl of Centennial, CO, Brenda (Randy) Reed of Conroe, TX and Kimberly Eyl of Colorado Springs, CO; mother in law, Darlene Lashley of Colorado Springs; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
