Bryce Lee Maret, of McCook, NE, passed away at Kearney Regional Medical Center on July 27, 2023, at the age of 28.
Bryce was born in Lexington, NE, September 17, 1994, to parents Rodney and Frances (Medrano) Maret. Bryce attended McCook High School and worked as a night auditor at the Quality Inn here in McCook.
Bryce was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed fishing, photography, creating rap music, watching movies, storm chasing, and strumming the guitar. He collected Funko POP! figurines, drove around McCook listening to music, and played video games like Diablo and Elder Ring. He also participated in paranormal activity investigations, rocking out at concerts, going on road trips, and putting together videos of friends and families. Everywhere Bryce went, he had his service dog Diamond, who is part lab and part Pitbull. With everything he was involved with, Bryce made sure to put his family first. He was an amazing father to his daughter Seije, a trustworthy brother to Brynnon and Aryanna, and a loving son to his parents.
Bryce is proceeded in death by his infant son, Malcom Allen Koehler; grandmother, Georgia Maret; great-grandparents Merle and Zelda Maret; great-great grandmother, Bernice Hinton; great grandfather, George Arrington.
Those left to celebrate Bryce’s life is his parents; siblings, Brynnon and Aryanna Maret of McCook, NE; daughter, Seije Maret and Seije’s mother, Jozlyn Powles of Huron, SD; grandparents, Tomasa Jarvis of McCook, NE, Jesus and Maria Medrano of Grand Island, NE, and LaVern Maret of Elwood, NE; service dog, Diamond; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family and family.
