Biography

Byron B Brunswick, age 69, died Tuesday January 26, 2010 at the Community Hospital.

He was born, June 26, 1940 at McCook, to Lewis M. and Dorothy G. (Bonar) Brunswick.

Byron had four children, Robert, Chad, Tonja and Rona.

Byron graduated from McCook High School in 1958. For 20 years he lived in Colorado where he worked and had his own band, The Country Edition. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and welder. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was an avid Denver Bronco's fan.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lewis and Dorothy Brunswick, two sisters, Dora Farr, Grace Brunswick, and two step-brothers Don Brunswick and LaVern Brunswick.

Survivors include his two sons, Robert and wife (Robin) Brunswick of Greeley, CO; Chad and wife (Kelly) Sauvage of Salina, KS; daughters, Tonja and husband (Doug) Broadwell and Rona Mullen, both of Grand Island; three brothers, Marion and wife (Sam) Brunswick, Manny and wife (Vonda) Brunswick, Wayne Brunswick all of McCook; two sisters, Darlene and husband (Jerry) Lambert of McCook and Donna and husband (Ron) Salliday of Manhattan, KS; special friend, Geraldine Clark; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials were to be given in his name to the ALS Foundation.

Funeral services were Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Johnny Walker officiating. Burial took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home was in charge arrangements.
