Carla A Winters

Carla Adare Winters of McCook, NE passed away at her home in McCook on July 18, 2023, at the age of 75.

Carla was born in McCook on February 19, 1948, to parents Adair and Maxine (Davidson) Myers. She graduated from McCook High School on May 24, 1966. Two weeks after her graduation, Carla was united in marriage to Richard Winters in Indianola, NE on June 11, 1966. Together, Carla and Richard raised their sons, Shawn and Stacy, in McCook, NE.

Carla was a homemaker throughout her life and had a deep love for all animals including the many dogs her and Richard had throughout the years. In recent years, she enjoyed watching and providing nicknames to her neighbor’s llamas and ponies.

She is preceded by parents, husband, and sister, Cathy Heskett.

Those left to celebrate Carla’s life include sons, Shawn Winters and wife, Trina, of McCook and Stacy Winters and wife, Heidi, of Omaha; brother-in-law, Mark Heskett of McCook, NE; 3 grandchildren, Lakken Winters, Skyler Winters, and Matthew Winters; great-grandchildren, Kiefer Leedom, Myles Leedom, and Stella Smith; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
