Carole Kay Curran

Carole Kay Curran, age 84, of Hayes Center, Nebraska passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the Wauneta Care and Therapy Center in Wauneta, Nebraska. 

Carole was born to parents Don L. and Helen (Swanson) Leffler in Palisade, Nebraska on June 16, 1940. She grew up in Hayes Center where she graduated from high school with the class of 1958.

She raised five kids while working at the Hayes Center Schools as a cook, bus-driver, and secretary. Carole will be remembered for supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all their events. Throughout her life, she was a member of the Hayes Center Union Congregational United Church of Christ. 

Those left to celebrate Carole’s life are her children, Dale Curran of Holbrook, NE, Cherri (Steve) Broz of Hayes Center, NE, and Janeen (Bob) Rosno of Hayes Center, NE; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

Carole is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Rodney and Dennis Leffler; and sons, Brad and Jeremy Curran.
