Chester W. Rima died Sunday, November 13, 2005 at McCook Community Hospital. He was 66 years old.
Chester was born on August 8, 1939 in Brush, Colorado to Fred Wyman and Peggy (Coleman) Rima. He attended McCook Public Schools. He entered the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and also served in the National Guard. He was honorably discharged on July 18, 1957.
On November 6, 1987, he married Wanda K. Van Cleave in McCook. Chester was a truck driver for several trucking companies. He was a devoted viewer of the TV History Channel.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Peggy Rima; and one brother, Wayne Rima.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda, of McCook; three sons, John Rima of McCook, Richard Rima and wife, Sheri, of Lexington, and David Rima and wife, Jackie, of Harvard; two daughters, Susan Rima of McCook and Lacy Rima of Missouri; one brother, Richard Rima of McCook; one sister, Beth Goltl of Oberlin, KS; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Visitation will be today until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 16, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Pastor Jon Albrecht officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will be Friday, November 18, 2005, 3:00 p.m. at Riverview Cemetery.
