Christine Relph

Christine Karolene Relph died Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at McCook Community Hospital. She was 97.

She was born February 15, 1912 to Henry and Anna (Volroth) Pollmann in Culbertson, Nebraska. She attended Culbertson Public School.

She married Elmer Relph on November 26, 1936 at McCook. They moved to Cheyenne, WY and lived there until her husband's retirement from Union Pacific Railroad and then moved back to McCook.

Christine was a member of the First Assembly of God; and was active teaching Sunday school for many years. She was president of the Burlington Veterans, and a member of Jolly Musicmakers with the Senior Center, the Women's Missionary Council and the extension club. She enjoyed baking, traveling and especially spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Anna; and husband, Elmer "Doc" on November 30, 1993; brothers, Earl, Walter John and Henry; sisters, Anna Lundbery, Minnie Naugle, Emma Walker and Hannah Hein.

She is survived by her daughter, Karolyn Burough and husband, Lee of Granbury, TX; sister, Louise Coburn; sisters-in-law, Opal Tincher and Louise Pollmann all of McCook; two grandsons, Quinton Burough and wife, Kristi of Del Rio, TX, Aaron Burough of Granbury, TX and two great-grandchildren, Paige and Karston Burough of Del Rio, TX.

Memorials were to be given in her name.

Memorial services were Saturday, February 6, 2010, 10:30 a.m. at the First Assembly of God with Pastor Jamie Mockry officiating. Inurnment took place at the Culbertson Cemetery.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
