Clifford Eugene Randel, age 82 of Indianola, NE passed away Friday, November 12, 2021 at El Dorado Manor in Trenton, NE.
Cliff was born on March 13, 1939 in McCook, NE to Leon Millard and Dorothy Lucia (McMillin) Randel. He grew up on the family farm, graduating from Red Willow High School in 1957. Cliff attended McCook Junior College, graduating in 1959.
On June 13, 1965, Cliff married Eileen Ruth Miller at the Culbertson Evangelical United Brethren Church. They worked side by side on their farm northeast of McCook. To this union were born, Michelle Lynn, Loretta Kay, and Brad Douglas. Cliff was a lifelong farmer and rancher who treasured his horses, took great care of his livestock, and enjoyed tending to his crops.
Cliff liked competing in team penning, watching rodeos, and collecting antique John Deere tractors. He could often be found whistling his favorite hymns, country, or gospel music. Cliff sang tenor in the choir and with several quartets. He attended the Willow Christian Church in Indianola.
Following the death of Eileen in 2006, Cliff married Diane Jo Cowden on August 23, 2008 in McCook, NE.
Cliff was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eileen; brothers-in-law Donald Miller, Robert Hesterwerth, Ray Bartusiak, and Roland Miller.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Diane Randel of Indianola, NE; children, Michelle and Dan Larington and Loretta and Brent Hauxwell, all of McCook, NE, and Brad and Adrienne Randel of Indianola, NE; grandchildren, Sara and Jack Loomis and family Emily and Kayla, Dane and Abby Larington, Kylee and Lexi Hauxwell, Addison, Ashlyn, and Aleigh Randel; brother, Raymond and Patsy Fisher of Indianola, NE; sisters-in-law, Gwen Miller of Culbertson, NE, Joan Hesterwerth of McCook, NE, Lois Bartusiak of Littleton, CO, and Jeannette Miller of Culbertson, NE. Also surviving are Diane’s children, Debra and Dave Easterla of Maryville, MO, Tracy and Kristine Williams and family Michael, Kelli, and Forest of Hamburg, IA, Franz and Barbara Cowden and family Anna and Emma of Riverton, IA, and Charles and Mollie Cowden of Gretna, NE.
