Conie Reynolds
March 11, 1952 — October 24, 2008
Conie B. (Carfield) Reynolds died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte at the age of 56.
She was born March 11, 1952, in Oberlin Kansas, the only daughter of Kenneth and Mary Majestie (Raburn) Carfield.
Conie grew up in the McCook area and attended McCook Senior High School.
Conie was active with the North Platte VFW in the 1980s, and enjoyed helping to dye eggs for the annual Easter Egg Hunt held at Cody Park. She also assisted with plates of food for those in need during the holidays. She loved to drive the countryside and spend time with her children and grandchildren at the lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers William and Edwin J. Carfield.
She is survived by three children, Roxi (Hickert) and husband Major Stephen "Mark" Marvin of Bellevue, William "Bill" and wife Amber (Hopson) Hickert of Montrose, Colo., and Stephanie (Wade) Cain of Stratton; nine grandchildren; Brittany and Nicholas Marvin, Madison and Brielle Hickert, Sabrina, Shania, Hope, Atreju Wade and Steven "Bubba" Cain; four brothers, her twin, Vony and wife, Lynn Carfield of McCook, Griff and wife, Deb Carfield of Lebanon, Rex and wife Donna Carfield of Indianola and Ken and wife, Sherry Carfield of Culbertson; best friend Lynette Hixson of Arapahoe; and numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services were at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Carpenter Breland Chapel in McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial followed at Cedar Bluffs Cemetery, Cedar Bluffs, KS.
Memorials were to be given in her name.
Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
