Craig Alan Reiners

Craig Alan Reiners, age 58, of Bartley, NE passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the Monarch House in Lincoln, NE.

Craig was born February 10, 1964 in McCook to parents Wayne H. and Bonnie L. (Geyer) Reiners. He was one of three children who grew up in rural McCook, NE, graduating from Republican Valley High School with the Class of 1982.  He went on to graduate from Peru State College before attending one year of law school at the University of Nebraska.

Craig owned and operated the Willow Grove Storage Units in McCook, Bison Bullion which originated in McCook before transitioning to Kearney, NE, and was the former owner of Glass Express. He enjoyed venturing to Fonner Park and betting on the horse races and loved watching Husker football, collecting antiques, vacationing in the mountains and playing cribbage with friends.

Craig was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Reiners; his mother, Bonnie Urling; and step father, Delbert Urling.

Those left to celebrate his life include his sisters, Kelley (Dallas) Watkins of Kearney, NE and Cathy (Russ) Doyle of Lincoln, NE; nieces and nephews, Nicole (Mitch) Hardwick of Albion, NE, Kelsey (Derek) Jamison of Lincoln, Kyle Watkins of Lincoln, Brandon (Kayla) Doyle of McCook, Jarrod Doyle of McCook and Heather (Richard) Koening of Lincoln; thirteen great nieces and nephews and his step mother, Heddy Reiners of Hershey, NE.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home, McCook. The family requests wearing your favorite Husker apparel in honor of his love for the Huskers.

Inurnment will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery Columbarium, McCook.

The family also plans to plant a memorial tree at Cathy’s new cabin, approximately six miles East of McCook then turn South on Road 392, that Saturday at 3:00pm and welcomes you to join them.
