Dana Kay Lacey-Rowley, 47, of Culbertson died Nov. 11, 2008, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte following a long illness.
She was born Oct. 6, 1961, at St. Catherine's Hospital in McCook to Lloyd D. and Karen K. Crawford (McBrien) Lacey.
Dana attended Hayes Center Elementary and graduated from Hayes Center High School in 1979. She was active in horse and beef 4-H through her high school years. She was also in Honor Society, band and played volleyball. She graduated from McCook Community College in 1981 and graduated from Mid-Plains Community College in North Platte as a medical laboratory technician.
On Oct. 28, 1984, she married Darrell Rowley at Benkelman. She worked at the Dundy County Hospital, the American Red Cross in North Platte and Sedgwick County Health Center in Julesburg, Colo.
She loved all animals, fishing and hunting.
Dana was baptized in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Nov. 23, 2002.
Surviving her is a daughter Jenna Rae Rowley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Joshua Aaron Rowley of Maywood and Andrew Jacob Rowley of McCook; her parents, Lloyd and Karen Lacey of Culbertson; two brothers, Sean and Kelly Lacey and their children, Bailey and Dexter of Culbertson and Jason and Imelda Lacey of Centennial, Colo.; former husband, Darrell Rowley of North Platte; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, I.R. Crawford and Wanda and Ray McBrien, and her paternal grandparents, Maude and Albert Lacey.
Memorials were to be given in her name.
Funeral services were Friday, November 14, 2008, 3:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness in McCook with Mark Wagner officiating. Cremation followed the service.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
