Biography
Darlene A. Geihsler, 48, of Indianola, died Sunday (Jan. 11, 2004) at Community Hospital of McCook.
She was born Dec. 5, 1955, to Delbert Henry and Roberta Grace (Porter) Maris in McCook. She graduated McCook High School in 1974.
On June 29, 1974, she married Eugene Maxwell Geihsler at First Christian Church in McCook.
She was a homemaker and worked as a desk clerk for the Best Western Motel until her health failed.
She was a member of the McCook Baptist Church where she helped teach Sunday school and vacation Bible school.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Indianola; her parents, Delbert and Roberta Maris of McCook; sons, Rodney Geihsler of McCook and Craig Geihsler of Indianola; daughter, Lisa and husband, Ben Johnson of Klamath Falls, Ore.; and three brothers, Gary Maris of McCook, Gerald Maris and wife, Deb of Culbertson and Ron Maris of McCook.
Services were Thursday, at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Gosnell officiating. Interment took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
