Darwin L. Jumps, age 74, passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Community Hospital in McCook.
Darwin was born on January 19, 1940 to parents, Benjamin Harrison and Freda (Behrendsen) Jumps.
Darwin worked as an iron worker for Local #24 in Denver, CO before retiring to Nebraska.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Julie Murphy; parents, Benjamin and Freda Jumps; his sister, Arlene Chambers; and brothers, Robert, James "Jack", Donald and Glen Jumps.
Survivors include his two sons, Martin Jumps and wife, Laura, of Littleton, CO and Michael Jumps and wife, Kristen, of Overland Park, KS; brother, Benjamin "Ben" Jumps and wife, Cheryl, of Bailey, CO; sister, Betty Felker of McCook; sisters-in-law, Noreen Jumps and Mary Jumps both of McCook and Janeice Jumps of Culbertson; five grandsons; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Memorials may be given in his name and left at the funeral home.
The family is honoring Darwin's wishes to be cremated with no services.
