Delphine May Remington, age 80, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Vista Grand Inn in Cortez, Colo.
She was born June 19, 1927 to Lee Roy and Odessa May (Grafton) Nokes in Red Willow County, Nebraska. She was full of energy and at one point she flew an airplane off of the barn.
She married Doran Dean Remington on April 6, 1947 in Oberlin, Kansas. To this union two daughters were born, Connie Lee and Diane Lorraine.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cortez, Colo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Odessa; husband, Doran (May 2003); four brothers, Marion, Winfred, Vernon, and her twin, Delbert; and one sister, Leola.
She is survived by two daughters, Connie Walter and husband, Roland of Dolores, Colo., Diane Dugger and husband, Murray of Aurora, Colo.; four grandchildren, Chad Tobiasson and wife, Jessica of Dolores, Colo., Amy Picray and husband, John of Monticello, Iowa, Darin Dugger and wife, Dana of Longmont, Colo., DeDee Mashek and husband, Phillip of Aurora, Colo.; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in her name to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral services were Saturday, January 26, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Pastor John Strecker-Baseler officiating. Burial took place in the Lebanon Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
