Dixie Geihsler

November 20, 1952 — July 31, 2012

Dixie Geihsler, age 59, of Indianola, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 31, 2012.

Dixie was born on November 20, 1952 to Charley and Marlys (Nitsch) Brown at Imperial, NE. She went to high school at Sun Valley California and graduated in 1971. She moved to Nebraska in 1975 with son Scott Henrickson and later came the birth of a daughter Brenda Lee. She worked at TRW and Parker Hannifin.

On August 1, 2005 she married Eugene Geihlser. They were very happy and enjoyed their time at home. It was some of the best years of her life being a devoted wife.

Spending time with her children, grandchildren, husband and family were the happiest times. Dixie adored her grandchildren and could be found playing with a squirt gun, running through a sprinkler, chasing toads or fishing, just to name a few, just to keep them or her entertained!

Dixie will be especially remembered by her quick sarcastic sense of humor and positive outlook and being Huskers #1 fan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Marlys Brown; niece, Kimberlee Brenning; and grand dog, Sidney.

She is survived by her son, Scott and wife, Michelle Henrickson of Lincoln; daughter Brenda and husband, Geoff Gillen of McCook; sister, Carolyn and husband, Mike Brenning of Culbertson; grandchildren, Kaylee, Hannah and Trevor Henrickson, Matthew, Brendan, Jackson and Ellie Gillen, Alexis and Emily Johnson, Gage Geihsler, Jaidon Kimball; nephew Chad and wife, Laurie Brenning, Marlys, Garrett and Achelle; stepchildren, Rodney Geihsler and Danette Schmidt of Norfolk, Craig and Jessica Geihsler of McCook, Ben and Lisa Johnson of Klamath Falls, OR; and aunt, Zalia Nitsch of Chadron.
