Donald William Follett, 79, died Wednesday (Feb. 25, 2004) at Heritage of Wauneta in Wauneta.
He was born April 2, 1924, to Floyd and Anna Roberta (Dudek) Follett in Palisade. He graduated from Palisade High School in 1942.
He entered the Navy on May 19, 1942 and served during World War II. He was honorably discharge March 26, 1948.
After his discharge he returned to the family farm. He continued to farm up until the time of his death.
He was a member of the Palisade American Legion, McCook Elks and Farm Bureau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Anna Follett.
Survivors include his brother, Ralph Follett and wife, Mary of Lake Elsinore, Calif.; three sisters, Eva Pezza, Mary Lou Post and Shirley Grabast, all of Palisade.
Graveside services were Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Palisade Cemetery with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
