Biography
Donald E. Foster, age 78, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007, at the Cambridge Hospital.
Donald was born September 6, 1928 to Harold O. and Edith (Moore) Foster in Cambridge. He attended Indianola Public Schools.
On December 28, 1951 he married Joe Ann Weintz in Cambridge. To this union four children were born, Mike, Cindy, Suzy, and Jayne.
He farmed and drove a Mail truck for 22 years; he was a life member of the McCook Elks Club, and the Indianola and Bartley Masonic Lodge. He was interested in antique tractors, and enjoyed U.S. History.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Joe Ann on November 9, 1991.
He is survived by his son, Mike Foster and wife, Katie of Indianola; daughters, Cindy Ault of Lincoln, Suzy Sailors and husband, Blaine of Plattsburg, Missouri, Jayne Fair and husband, Dr. Kevaghn of Williamsburg, Virginia; brother, Byron Foster of Longmont, Colorado; grandchildren, Hayley Ault of Lincoln, Alexander Fair, Slater Fair, Astyn Fair all of Williamsburg, Virginia, Alyse Foster of Indianola.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Indianola Fire Dept. or the Plattsburg Memorial Park.
Funeral services were Friday, April 13, 2007, 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Indianola.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
