Donald Hamlin Hunt

Donald Hamlin Hunt age 85 died at Heritage of Wauneta, Monday, June 28, 2010.

Donald was born May 22, 1925 in Palisade to Yale Kenneth and Vera Mae (Simons) Hunt. He attended Prairie Union School.

He married Betty Ruth Tilley at Fort Collins, Colo. August 2, 1953. To this union three children were born, David, Rodney and Valerie. He was a member of the Methodist Church and had lived in Palisade all his life.

Don farmed Southeast of Palisade, worked for the Village of Palisade for 15 years and did lawn mowing and trash hauling.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include: his wife, Betty Ruth of Wauneta; children, David and wife Donna Hunt of Lincoln, Rodney and wife Laura Hunt of Palisade and Valerie and husband Jim Veach.

Memorials were being accepted in his name.

Memorial services were Friday at 10:30 a.m at the United Methodist Church in Palisade with Rev. Bonnie McCord officiating. Inurnment took place in the Palisade Cemetery.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
