Donaldeen "Donny" Y. Rowe of Indianola died Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. She was 80 years old.
Donny was born on October 12, 1927 in Rockford, Iowa to Donald V. and Gwendolyn S. (Crowell) Palmer. She graduated from Rockford High School in 1945.
She was united in marriage to James D. Rowe on June 11, 1949 in Minnesota. To this union two children were born, Dennis and Duana. Donny was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, reading, puzzles and her family.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lakemills, Iowa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Donald and Gwendolyn Palmer; husband, Duane in 1978; and grandson, Jamie Thomas in 1976.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Rowe of McCook; daughter, Duana Thomas-Karr of Indianola; two brothers, Keith Palmer and wife, Jean, and Terry Palmer all of Friendswood, TX; one sister, Sue Jonward of Madison, SD; 8 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
There were no local services. An inurnment will be later in Rockford, Iowa.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
