Biography
Donna Marie Wickizer died Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was 55 years old.
Donna was born February 4, 1954 in McCook, Nebr. to Frederick G. and LaVerda A. (Payne) Karp.
She graduated from McCook High School in 1972; McCook Community College in 1987 and was currently working on a Bachelor Degree from the Bellevue University.
The past 20 years Donna lived in Cambridge. The past 16 years she was an insurance agent for AFLAC. She delighted in cooking with and for her three grandchildren and also enjoyed photography and watercolor painting.
She was a member of the Cornerstone Fellowship in McCook and the Republican River Riders.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred and LaVerda Karp.
Survivors include her son Beau Buffington of Ogallala, son of the late Mark Buffington; son Chet and father Clint Wickizer both of Cambridge; brother David and wife Julia Karp of McCook; sisters Barb Mayo of Kearney and Linda Dethlefsen of McCook; Jess Kriha (Beau's fiancé©e); and three grandchildren Callie and Alex Kriha and Ian Buffington.
Funeral services were Saturday, November 7 at 11:00 at the Cornerstone Fellowship with Pastor Rob Putz officiating. Burial took place in the Indianola Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
