Dora Mae (Ihrig) Tines died Friday, June 30th, 2006 at the Brentwood Estates in Lincoln. She was 73 years old.
Dora was born on August 23, 1932, in Norton, Kansas to Verl and Faye I. (Willey) Chitwood.
She was married to Robert Carl Ihrig. To this union four children were born. They made their home in several locations where Robert was a teacher and coach and Dora was a homemaker and busy mother. He preceded her in death. She later married Harold Tines in Trenton. He died shortly after their marriage.
Dora was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church while she lived in McCook. In 1981, she moved to Lincoln and in 2001 moved to the Brentwood Estates where she was living at the time of her death. She loved to play cards, cook and spend time with her family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Verl and Faye Chitwood; her husbands, Robert Ihrig and Harold Tines; and one brother, Jesse Chitwood.
Survivors include her two sons, Bob Ihrig and wife, Susan, of Centennial, CO and Roger Ihrig of Lincoln; two daughters, Pam and husband, Gary Winn, of Portland, OR and Kim and husband, Donald Vokal, of Omaha; one brother, Jim Chitwood and wife, Karon, of Surprise, AZ; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Valley Hope Alcohol and Drug Treatment Center in Norton, Kansas.
Funeral services were Monday, July 3, 2006, 2:00 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Father Gary Brethour officiating. Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
