Dorothy Irene Bryan, age 88 died Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at Decatur County Good Samaritan Home in Oberlin, Kansas.
On April 5, 1920 Dorothy was born in Oxford to Gilbert LeRoy and Sybil Irene (Thomas) Loper. She graduated from McCook High School in 1938.
On February 6, 1943 Raymond H. Bryan and Dorothy were married in Norman, Oklahoma. They had three children, Raymond, Carol and E. Marie.
Dorothy was a member of St. Albans Episcopal Church in McCook. She enjoyed family, music, fishing and flowers.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond in 1992; two brothers, Gilbert and Keith and a sister, Bernice.
Survivors include: her son Raymond Bryan and wife Jean of Summerville, South Carolina; daughters, Carol Barrett and husband John of Oberlin, Kansas and E. Marie Sutton and husband Paul of McCook; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Friday at 10 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Chapel in McCook with Pastor Mike Larson officiating. Burial took place in the McCook Riverview Cemetery.
Memorials were being encouraged to Decatur County Good Samaritan Home in her name.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
