Dorothy M. Callander

Dorothy M. Callander, age 93, of Hayes Center, NE passed away on August 18, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Society in Arapahoe, NE.
Dorothy was born on February 22, 1923 to parents Grant O. and Anna Belle (Williams) Patterson in Callaway, Nebraska. She was one of eight siblings.
Dorothy married Glenn Callander on May 22, 1949. To this union four sons were born; Grant, Archie, Fred, and Calvin.
Dorothy was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Hayes Center where she taught Sunday School for many years. Dorothy loved being a homemaker and enjoyed spending time gardening.
Survivors include her sons, Archie (Sharon) Callander of Newcastle, WY, Fred (Carla) Callander of Bartley, NE and Calvin (Teri) Callander of Hendley, NE; her five grandchildren, Troy Callander, Kandra Blodgett, Kyla Jueden, Kyann Knight and Waylan Callander; as well as her six great grandchildren.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Grant and Anna Patterson; her son, Grant Callander; her five brothers, Kenneth, Floyd, Ralph, Emery and Ervin Patterson; and her two sisters, Gladys Patterson and Mae Lloyd.
