Dorothy M. Minary died Thursday, January 18, 2007 at McCook Community Hospital. She was 79.
Dorothy was born May 26, 1927 to John P. and Lillie M. (Clark) Wallace in Cambridge. She attended McCook Public Schools.
She married Percy L. Minary in Oberlin, Kansas on October 30, 1942. To this union seven children were born. Her hobbies were cooking and reading. She enjoyed her family.
She was a member of the Eagles and Royal Neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Percy (July 10, 1985); two granddaughters, Debbie and Cindy Minary and an infant grandson and infant granddaughter; one great-grandson, Shane Michael Miller; three brothers, Tom Wallace, Gary Wallace, Alfred Wallace; and two sisters, Helen Shepherd, and Edna Judd.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Minary and wife, Florence of Culbertson, Roger Minary and life-long companion, Karen Christiansen of North Platte, Gayle Minary of Culbertson and Doug Minary and wife, Dawn, of McCook; daughters, Barbara Masur of McCook, Maxine Lingeman and husband, Tom of North Platte and Gloria Wortman-Gonzales and husband, Paul of Greeley, CO; two brothers, John Wallace of McCook and Richard Wallace and wife, Mary Lou of Loveland, CO; 23 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Memorials were to be given in her name to the Eagles Auxillary.
Funeral services were on Monday, January 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Burial took place in the Culbertson Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
