Dorothy Elaine Olsson

Dorothy Elaine Olsson formerly of McCook died Friday, November 27, 2009 at St. Joseph, Missouri. She was 80 years old.

She was born July 3, 1929 in McCook to William Warren and Helen Genevive (Joslin) Abernathy. She grew up and attended schools in McCook and Wyoming.

Dorothy married Delbert L. Olsson October 8, 1949 in McCook. They had three daughters, Linda, Jeri and Susan.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and active at the McCook Senior Center. In St Joseph she attended Wyatt Park Baptist Church. She loved her children, grand and great-grandchildren and she loved playing bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Delbert on June 13, 2003.

Survivors include her daughters, Linda (Scott) Raridon of St Peters, MO. , Jeri (Gary) Brush of Sutherland and Susan (Kent) Abbey of St. Joseph, MO; five grandchildren, Lezlie (Justus) Bacott , Jeremy (Lindsey) Raridon, Holli (Chuck) Bone, Sara Ashley and Sean Abbey; six great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nina Schauff of Ft. Worth, TX, Shirley Bobier of Phoenix, AZ and Evelyn Enzian of Gulf Breeze, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Pastor Shanon Williams officiating. Inurnment will be in Ft. McPherson National Cemetery.
