Elaine Trehal

Elaine Ruth Trehal died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at her home in McCook. She was 85 years old.

Elaine was born on September 24, 1918, at Farnam, to Fred L. and Jessie May (Duff) Biesecker. She graduated from Bertrand High School in 1935.

Elaine was employed by Lockheed Aircraft for two years.

She married Ted Williams in Las Vegas. He preceded her in death.

On February 7, 1951, she married Bill Trehal in McCook. She was in sales and service for Singer Sewing Machine for many years. She sold Nobility Plate silverware and crystal.

Elaine was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church, VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary and the DOES. She loved playing cards especially pinochle.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Ted Williams; five brothers, Kenneth, Edwin, Clyde, Harold, and Leroy; and two sisters, Ellen and Mildred.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Trehal of McCook; and children, David Williams and wife, Kathy, of North Platte, Dennis Williams and wife, Robin, of Fremont, Judy and husband, Jerald Arehart of Wichita, KS, Michael Trehal of McCook and Peggy and husband, Bill Halverson of McCook; sister, Kathleen Hickman of Clewiston, FL; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be at Carpenter Breland Chapel on Friday, June 4, 2004, at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman and Michael Trehal officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorials may be given in her name.

There will be no public visitation. Friends may sign her book at the funeral home or go on-line at www.carpenterbreland.com to send condolences.
