Eleska Irene Mishler died Friday, September 16, 2005 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook, NE. She was 95 years old.
She was born July 28, 1910 to Gottfried and Emma Rose (Ummel) Rufenacht in Ransom, KS. She grew up and was educated in Kansas, became an elementary school teacher and taught piano lessons.
She was married to John G. Mishler in Ransom, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; several brothers and sisters; and niece Dorothy Schreiber.
She was a life-long member of the Ransom Mennonite Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, custodian and played the piano for services, weddings and funerals.
She moved to Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook in 1992 to be closer to her niece, Dorothy Schreiber.
Survivors include her two great nieces, Jane Paschall and husband Dave of Culbertson and Gail Griffin and husband Paul of Irving, TX.
Memorials were to be given to the Ransom Mennonite Church.
Funeral services were Tuesday, 10:30 a.m. at the Mennonite Church in Ramsom, KS with Pastor Eric Buller officiating. Burial took place in the Ransom Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
