Biography
Elizabeth Jane (Tirrill) Edwards died Friday, October 09, 2009 at McCook Community Hospital. She was 90 years old.
She was born July 25, 1919 on a farm in Red Willow County to Thomas E. Tirrill and Mary Ella Morasch.
She married Donald Tabor Edwards on August 31, 1945 in Liberal, KS. To this union two children were born, William and Julie.
She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church and Methodist Women's Club, Town and Country, Royal Neighbors of America, Chris Hansen Auxiliary Unit #203.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald on October 19, 1978; sisters, Iva McNutt, Dorothy Lunkwitz and Maudie Oberg.
She is survived by her son, William "Bill" Edward and Christine Woods, mother of grandchildren of Los Angeles, CA; daughter Julie Ann Montes and husband Richard Troutman of Reno, NV; brother Lester Tirrill of McCook; four grandchildren, Brittany, Tyler, Samantha & Jessica; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials were to be given in her name or may be sent to Julie Montes at 15050 Penlite Dr, Reno, NV 89521.
Funeral services were Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Rev. Lance Clay officiating. Burial took place in Riverview Cemetery here in McCook.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
