Elsie Mae Grube

Mrs. Elsie Mae (Nolan) Grube, age 94, of Indianola, Nebraska passed away at Kinship Pointe in McCook on 8/5/2022.

Elsie was born on April 4, 1928 to parents John and Mary (Barette) Noland. She married Clifford L. Grube on January 10, 1945. God gave them 3 children, Judy, Ellen, and Calvin.

Elsie was a full-time homemaker. She loved her flower garden, sewing, and swimming with her exercise club at the Indianola pool. Elsie was a member of the Indianola Garden Club and Federated Women’s Club. She served many years on the Valley View Board of Directors, also the Indianola Library Board and was a member of the Indianola Christian Church missionary society.

Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Cliff, son in law Steve Hollers, sisters; Mary Frye and Florence Adams, brothers-in-law; Bud Frye and Tom Adams, 8 half siblings; Maudlee, Rosetta, Howard, Marjory, Julia, Naomi and Henry and Lawrence.

She is survived by her children; Judy Hollers, Ellen (Rick) Jackson, and Calvin (Brenda) Grube; 6 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to The Willow Christian Church, 419 E Street, Indianola, NE  69034.

Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Indianola with Mike Searcey officiating.
