Emma Lehn

Emma C. Lehn, 89, died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Southview Manor Care Center in Cozad.

On December 4, 1915 she was born in Lawrence to John and Mary (Baune) Flaherty. She attended Indianola High School and had lived in this area most all of her life. She moved to Cozad in 1991.

She married Lawrence B. Lehn at Indianola on December 26, 1949.

She was a member of St. Partick’s Catholic Church in McCook and after moving to Cozad, Christ the King Catholic Church, and the Alter Society. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband on June 20, 1990; four brothers, John, Tom, Hank and Pat; and three sisters, Ellen, Mary Ann and Kathryne.

Survivors include: a son, Dennis Lehn and wife Sally of Shelton; two daughters, Eugenia Meissner and husband Kenneth of Cozad and Delores “Dee” Lehn of McCook; a sister, Nellie Patrick of Aurora, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorials were to be given in her name.

Rosary took place Tuesday, 7 p.m. at the Carpenter Breland Chapel in McCook. Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, 11 a.m. at St Patrick’s Catholic Church with Father Jerel Scholl officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
