Biography
Errol Lynn Brunk died, Sunday, May 22, 2005 at his home in McCook. He was 64 years old.
Errol was born on April 20, 1941, at Oberlin, Kansas to Dale L. and Nila R. (Vernon) Brunk. He graduated from Oberlin High School in 1958.
On November 24, 1990, he married Judith R. Hanes at Oberlin. They made their home in the McCook community where Errol was employed by Parker Dayco for 31 years. He enjoyed gardening, football, raising roller pigeons, NASCAR Auto Racing, and listening to country music. Other hobbies included deer hunting and fishing.
Errol was preceded in death by his son Eric in 1990 and his mother in March of 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Judith of McCook; two sons, Eddie Brunk and wife, Julie, of St. Francis, KS and Chris Brunk of McCook; daughter, Diana Brunk of Cherryvale, KS; step-sons, Shannon League of Trenton, Nevada League of McCook and Robert League of Trenton; step-daughters, Tiffany Shirkey and Stephanie Gillander both of Lincoln; his father, Dave Brunk of Oberlin; sister, Janene and husband, Bob Kleidosty, of Lancaster, CA; 6 grandchildren and 11 step-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Funeral services were Thursday, May 26, 2005, 10:30 a.m. at Carpenter Breland Chapel with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial took place in the Culbertson Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
