Floyd Alton "Ton" Marks, age 66, died Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at his home south of Culbertson.
Alton was born November 25, 1940 to Floyd A. and Flora L. (Osborn) Marks at Trenton, Nebraska.
On February 3, 1963 he married Alice Eileen Clary at the Church of God in McCook. To this union two sons born.
He had worked for the Co-Op in Culbertson, for Kuglers for a while and also had driven a fertilizer truck for UAP. He loved hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents; a brother, Dale Marks; nephew, Russell Daugherty; brother-in-law, Arthur Stock; father-in-law and mother-in-law Charlie and Martha Clary.
He is survived by his wife, Alice of Culbertson; two sons, David Marks and wife Amy of Colby, Kans. And Larry Marks of Culbertson; three brothers, Arthur Marks of Culbertson, Russell Marks and wife Lavena of Trenton and Willard Marks and wife Janette Marks of McCook; two sisters, Doris Daugherty and husband Don of Trenton and Dixie Stock of McCook.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. with Johnny Walker officiating. Burial was at Grove Cemetery, south of Culbertson.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook is in charge of the arrangements.
