George Albert Fritz, age 87 passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Tri Valley Health System in Cambridge.

George was born in Indianola to Adam M. and Alice M. (Fidnarik) Fritz on August 2, 1928.  He graduated from Curtis Agriculture High School in 1948.

He married Beverly Ann Baker on February 10, 1957 at Peace Lutheran Church.  To this union four children were born, Larry, Pam, Katherine and Donna.

He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in McCook where he was an Elder and a youth leader. He was a member of the Forerunners Club and the Men’s Bible Breakfast.

George farmed his entire life, he enjoyed going to machinery shows. He served on the NT Sale Board and COOP Board. He was a Centennial Pork Member and worked in their finishing unit.

Survivors include his daughters, Pam Shears of Grand Island, Katherine Leak of Kearney, Donna Rawn of Lincoln; son, Larry Fritz of Indianola; sisters, Esther Jording of Salina, KS, Nelda Herzberg of Creston, IA; 12 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Beverly on April 23, 2009.

A celebration book signing will be held on Thanksgiving with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carpenter-Breland Funeral Home, 305 West C st in McCook, Nebraska.

Memorial services will be Friday November 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Albertson officiating.   Inurnment will be at rural Indianola Trinity Lutheran Cemetery
