On March 3, 1963 he married Carol Miller and to this union three sons were born. Roger, Bradly & Ken.

He entered the Hillcrest home in October of 2000 and moved to Broken Bow in June of 2011.

He was preceded in death by his wife Carol, his brother Bill & nephew Robby Valasek.
