Gerald Lee Moody, 78 died Thursday, May 17, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
He was born May 13, 1929 to Dwight and Alice Mae (Anderson) Moody in Greeley County, Nebraska. He attended school in Scotia. He moved to Holdrege and worked for Safeway.
In 1951 he married Nadine Williams in Holdrege and to this union three sons were born, Gregory, Mitchell and Bradley.
He worked for Safeway for 29 years. He moved to McCook in 1957.
He was a member and past Master of the Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star of Holdrege and the Congregational Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Todd; one brother, Bob Moody and his grandparents.
Survivors include: Nadine Moody of McCook; his children and spouses, Greg and Cindy Moody of McCook, Mitchell and Fiona Moody of Omaha and Bradley and Robin Moody of LeMars, Iowa; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Jensen of Palo Alto, California.
Memorials were to be given in his name to Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Cremation was chosen and a Memorial service was held on Tue, May 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Congregational Church with Pastor Steve Bales officiating. Inurnment took place in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
