Geraldine May (Housley) Holcomb, 85, of Greeley, CO, formerly of Westminster, CO died on Friday, October 3, 2008 at the North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley.
She was born on February 24, 1923 in Freedom, Nebraska to Charles and Zella (Vandervort) Housley.
Geraldine married Kenneth C. Holcomb on October 16, 1939 in Atwood, KS. They resided in Bartley and McCook in the early years where Kenneth was employed as a pilot delivering newspapers. He preceded her in death in 1983.
Mrs. Holcomb managed an A&W Rootbeer Drive-In for many years. She was also an Avon Lady. After she retired, she enjoyed spending her time taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, her parents; two daughters, Karen Neuman and Kristy Holcomb; two brothers, Darrell and Stanley Housley; and one sister, Mabel King.
Survivors include her daughter, Vicki and husband, Herman Libsack of Greeley; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Sally and husband, Red Johnson, of Idaho and Rosalie and husband, Willie Pinkerton, of California.
A private family graveside service took place.
