Harold Leland Hall

Harold Leland Hall of McCook died Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital from congestive heart failure. He was 78 years old.

Harold was born on December 6, 1930 in Fairbury, Nebraska to Albert and Eva (Harmon) Hall. The family moved to Fairmont when Harold was a young boy. He graduated from Fairmont High School in 1948.

On March 21, 1953, he was united in marriage to Bertha Goertzen at Henderson, Nebraska. Bert and Harold celebrated 40 years of marriage before her death in August of 1993.

Harold married Marjorie Callan Blake January 1994 in McCook.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert and Eva Hall; his wife, Bertha; his eldest son, Robert in July of 2000; step-son, Willard Blake and one brother, Duane Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Hall of Cambridge; one son, Larry Hall and wife, Jan, of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two daughters, Janet and husband, Kip Bremer, of Imperial and Debbie and husband, Dennis Dart, of Wake Forest, North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Marie Hall of Colorado Springs, Colorado; step-children, Claudine Brown, Dareld and Joyce Blake, Delbert and Neola Blake, Dale and Roberta Blake; brother, Dale Hall and wife, Shirley, of Arizona; grandchildren, LaCosta and Jeremy Fishler, Beth Bremer, Lisa Bremer, Misty and Brandon Dart, Scott and Becca Sherrell, David Byrnes; great-grandchildren, Jaylyn, Ashley, Alexander, Andrea, McKayla, Seth, Kimberly, James, Austin and Matthew.

Memorials were to be given in his name.

Memorial services were Wednesday, April 15, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating. Inurnment will be in Chase Cemetery rural Imperial at a later time.

Carpenter Breland Funeral Home of McCook was in charge of the arrangements.
