Harold E. Stevens died Monday March 14, 2011 at Community Hospital in McCook. He was 75 years old.
Harold was born on September 9, 1935 in Benkelman, NE to Chester Earl and Clara Lucille (Brown) Stevens. He attended grade school in Benkelman and graduated from Bird City High School and later entered the US Army and served his country during the Korean Conflict.
Harold was a self-employed mechanic. He was a member of the McCook Eagles.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Chester and Lucille and stepfather, Ralph Gordon Clark.
Survivors include his two sons, Ralph Stevens and wife, Rebecca, and Roland Stevens all of McCook; one daughter, Cynthia Stevens of Goodland, KS; one sister, Betty Wilkens of Atwood, KS; four brothers, Wayne Clark and wife, Marilyn, and Bob Clark and wife, Judy, all of Benkelman, Glenn Clark and wife, Carol, of Broken Bow and Gary Clark of Benkelman; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
Memorials may be given in his name.
To keep with Harold's wishes his body was cremated and there will be no service.
