Hazel F. Clonch, a 67 year resident of McCook, Nebraska, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte, Nebraska at the age of 94.
Hazel was born January 3, 1913 in a sod house near Calvert, Kansas, to Arthur Melvin and Bertha Pearl (Spencer) Hock. She attended school in Almena, Kansas, graduating in 1931.
She married Raymond Walter Clonch on July 20, 1933, in Smith Center, Kansas. They resided in Phillipsburg, Kansas, until moving to McCook in 1940.
Hazel was a member of the Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and traveling, and loved being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; her sister, Leona Williams and her niece Lola Williams.
Survivors include: her three children, Dennie Clonch of Sequin Texas; DeLinn (Barbara) Clonch of West Richland, Washington; and Lynda (Tom) Gorman of North Platte; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorials are requested to the Community Hospital Health Foundation.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 27th at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Thurman officiating. Burial was at the Norton Cemetery in Norton, Kansas.
