Ivan E. F. Andrew

Ivan Eugene Francis Andrew, age 80, of Palisade, Nebraska passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Norfolk Veteran’s Home in Norfolk, NE.
Ivan was born March 11, 1932 to parents Francis Martin and Mildred Opal (Weston) Andrew in Hamburg, Iowa. He was one of six siblings.
Ivan graduated from Palisade High School in 1951. He went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force. Ivan was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7028 and the American Legion 318.
Ivan was baptized into the Church of Christ on March 11. 1973. He enjoyed spending time visiting with his family and many friends.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Katheryn Opal Andrew; and brother in law, Duane Steinbeck.
Ivan is survived by his son, Greg Andrew of New York City, NY; two brothers, James (Pearl) Andrew of Palisade, NE and Albert (Jeanette) Andrew of North Platte, NE; and his two sisters, Karen Steinbeck and Sharon Andrew, both of Palisade.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 1 to 8 PM at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook, NE.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 in the Palisade Cemetery, Palisade, NE. Jerry Beckenhauer will preside.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Donor’s choice.
