Jack William Reichenbach passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 in McCook, NE. He was 89 years old.
Jack was born February 11, 1928 in Lincoln, NE to parents Morris and Geneva (McCoy) Reichenbach. He was one of seven children. Jack graduated from Lincoln Northeast High School in 1946. On January 26, 1949 he entered the United States Coast Guard and proudly served his country until is honorable discharge on July 21, 1952.
On April 22, 1951, Jack married Jacqueline P. (Schaff) Reichenbach in Lincoln. The couple moved their family to the McCook community in 1963. Jack was employed by Peels Beauty Supply out of Omaha as a traveling salesman from 1961-1995.
Jack was a member of the SPEBSQSA Society and also the Founder of the Prairie Statesman Barbershop Chorus. The quartet has been enjoyed by many in the Southwest Nebraska area since 1974. Outside of music, Jack enjoyed woodworking, golf and spending time with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jacqueline in 2014; four brothers, Glen, Chuck, Fritz and Don; and two sisters, Mary Trumble and Ruth Delhay.
He is survived by his three sons, Daniel (Andrea) Reichenbach of Colorado Springs, CO, Chuck Reichenbach of McCook, and Robert (Molly) Reichenbach; three grandchildren, Hannah, Heidi, and Holley and great grandson Charlie all of Lincoln.
Family will greet friends during Jack’s visitation on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.
A Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, 2:00 PM, at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook with Pastor Kyle Dellevoet, officiating.
