James Edward Brougham, Jr. died at his home in Palisade, Monday, October 8, 2007. He was 75 years old.
He was born March 6, 1932 to James E. and Ruth Josephine (Johnson) Brougham, Sr. at Mondovi, WI. He graduated from Mondovi High School.
He served during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy 1951-1955.
James worked in concrete construction most of his life and he loved fishing, hunting and many different sports. He had lived in the Palisade and Hamlet area for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Gina and a brother, Ron Brougham.
Survivors include: sons, Ron and wife Shelley Brougham of Omaha, Ray and wife Tracy Schlegel of Columbus and Jonathan (Thomas) Brougham of Wauneta; daughters, Robin and husband Tommy Tejcka of Edison, Karen and husband Tim Trones of Mondovi, WI and Robby Ruth of Oklahoma; two brothers, Dick and wife Charlie Brougham of Scottsbluff and Roger Brougham of Cambridge; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Thursday, October 11th, 10:00 a.m. C.S.T. at the Hamlet Union Church with Pastor Marshall Erickson officiating. Burial took place at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery.
Memorials were to be given in his name.
Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
